Transition to the crib

Avery is on the very brink of rolling over back to front! She tries so hard, extending her back and neck, and gets almost there and then rolls back to her back. Since it is very dangerous for a baby to roll over onto their stomaches while swaddled we now face the challenge of putting her to bed unswaddled. She has been swaddled to sleep ever since she was born and with that had successfully slept through the night since 6 weeks. Well, for about the last 4 weeks she has been waking in the night for one reason or another. At first it was gas (maybe?) and she was able to fall back asleep upon placement of passy and a little shaking of the bassinet. Then it was a cold which caused her to wake up with bad dry mouth (maybe?) that required nursing to go back to sleep. Since we're up several times a night anyway we decided that for safety it was time to transition her from the swaddle and bassinet to footed pjs and her big-girl crib.
Night one went OK. It took a while to get her to sleep and then she woke a few times to nurse. So no big difference from what we had been going through. Tonight was about the same to get her down and we'll see about the rest of the night. Im still hoping for a miracle and that she starts sleeping through the night again! It was nice, even if only for a little while!
