The first month was a roller coaster ride! It was so hard in the beginning, not getting any sleep and not knowing really what to do with the baby. She slept a lot at first, we could take her anywhere and she would just sleep. That didnt last long! At night we tried her in the bassinet but she didnt like lying down flat. We tried her in the carseat-in the bassinet. That worked for a few nights but then she didnt like that either! Finally, we ended up with her swaddled and sleeping in her swing. That worked pretty good. Each week she kept sleeping longer and longer periods of time. It was so nice to get 4-5 consecutive hours of sleep! Month 1
Lots of sleeping (but not all at once, unfortunately)
Going out to eat and knowing she would sleep the whole time
Major blow-outs (no one warns you about these!), especially when daddy is in the middle of changing her!
