Christmas 2010
This year Christmas was so different. Avery was old enough to understand about Santa Claus and was interested in participating in decorating the tree and making cookies for Santa. She was so suprised when she came out of her room and found all the presents under the tree. She wanted to play with each of them as she opened them, making for a long Christmas morning. Grandma and Grandpa Stone came over and she enjoyed opening her presents from them. Later in the day we all went down to Grandpa and Grandma Baldwin's to eat and open presents there. It was a great Christmas!!

Annual trip to mountains to get out Christmas tree
Every year over the Thanksgiving weekend we make a trip up to Ashe County, NC to choose and cut our own Christmas tree.
Avery was a little intimidated this year and clung to us. She did enjoy seeing the cows that were in a near-by pasture. She wanted me to hold her the whole time but I couldnt because I was 8 months pregnant with Whit! I look forward to bringing both kids to choose our tree next time!

Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving was so special as we were able to celebrate with Grandma and Granpa Stone! We all went down to Gma and Gpa Baldwin's house for a turkey day feast and Avery enjoyed the plentiful amounts of attention from both grandparents! We were pleased that she tried turkey, but she wouldnt try anything else. Oh well!!
We are very thankful this year to have our family close. Happy Turkey day!!
Halloween
I have to say, this Halloween was one of the most fun times we have had with Avery! She loved dressing up as a bunny (one of her favorite animals right now) and even though she didnt quite understand what we were doing, she enjoyed going up to houses and filling her bucket with candy. She rode with her friend "Dora the Explorer" in her little motorized car and then held hands with her as they went up to each doorstep. It was very cute! Grandma and Grandpa Baldwin were at our house to answer our door while we were out. It was a very fun evening and I was so proud of her little home-made costume. It reminded me very much of the costumes my mom would have us wear as kids! What a great night!!!

Avery's Halloween Party-Trial Run on Costume
Avery's daycare had their Halloween parade and party today. Gma and Gpa Stone and Daddy came to watch. I got to try out the home-made bunny costume I made for Avery and I think it went well! Only problem was that her bunny ears wouldnt stay up and she kept taking them off! I'll have to rig them up before Halloween. She looked so cute!
